Let acknowledged trout authority Lesley Crawford be your guide to some of the best wild trout angling in the Scottish Highlands. Whether you are complete beginner or an expert Lesley will happily devise a fishing programme to suit your needs. Both Tuition and Guiding services are carried out on local Caithness and Sutherland waters (see Trout Angling Holidays) with choice of venue usually by mutual agreement according to angling ability, the time of year and what is fishing best. Sessions give a comprehensive guide to choices of fly and tackle, how to assess local conditions and the fishing potential of various local waters. The natural history of wild trout is also well covered and all fishing takes place on various top quality scenic lochs or rivers in the Northern Highlands. Tackle hire (rod, reel, line, nylon and flies) is available at very reasonable cost of £5.00 sterling per person per day. A Typical Day You will be met at your accommodation at around 9.30am and guided to the trout water selected for that day. Lesley will prearrange permits and have any tackle or flies you do not have on hand. At the loch/river plenty of relevant advice is given on local angling techniques, how to read the water and where the wild trout are likely to be found. You will have around 5 hours instruction/guiding from Lesley and then the rest of the day is yours either staying on to fish or off for some sightseeing.
