First Salmon on the Forss08 March 2009
The 6th of March was an eventful day for river manager Christopher (CBF for short) as he managed to secure the first Forss salmon of 2009. Lesley was passing by the Falls pool when she saw Christopher playing a fine fish of 9.5lb and having legged it down to the pool from the bridge she was able to net the fish for him. The salmon was a sea liced silver beauty and was caught on a 2" Willie Gunn Waddy with jungle cock eye. Lesley now begins her quest for salmon in earnest on 9th March. With the river in excellent ply and rain and big tides forecast it all looks promising!
