First outing in February17 February 2010
Lesley and boat partner Dave took advantage of a short but clement break in an otherwise bitter cold winter to venture out for some rainbow trout fishing at Harpsdale, a small stocked fishery near Thurso. The end result was a fine 4lber for Lesley and 2 spanking rainbows with the same total weight to Dave. Though we are not the greatest of fans of rainbow trout angling prefering wild browns, salmon and sea trout there proved no finer way of spending a happy 2 hours flexing those casting muscles again in time for the opening of the Forss on 22nd Feb and of course the start of the trout season proper on March 15th.
